Ki Yan (Kevin) Cheung graduated in Hong Kong as a physiotherapist in 2001. He completed his post-graduate studies at University of Queensland studying Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2005. He has worked at special school for children with disabilities, elderly centre, and private practices in O’Connor, Kalamunda and Forrestfield. Kevin joined Parkwood Physiotherapy since 2006 and became the practice principal in 2015. He has been involved in clinical supervision for final year physiotherapy students from Curtin University since 2009.

Kevin’s expertise is in Musculoskeletal and spinal injury. He is also interested in knee rehab as well. Kevin has completed DMA clinical Pilates courses and has been using it as part of the treatment, also he has been using acupuncture for treating his patients as well.

Outside of work, Kevin is a fan of Newcastle United FC in EPL. He can only play soccer with friends occasionally, as he is busy with his two kids Ethan and Ivana.

Gianni (John) Zanoli graduated from Curtin University in 1988 as a physiotherapist and went on to work at Royal Perth Hospital and Fremantle Hospital until returning to study at Curtin University, subsequently attaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy in 1994. Apart from the hospital setting, John has worked in private practice in Applecross, Naval Base and Spearwood. Also, he has been the team Physiotherapist for SBL team Cockburn Cougars and WAFL team EFFC which provided a diverse foundation of experience for private practice life. In late 1997 John became the Principal of Parkwood Physiotherapy Centre. After 18 years at the helm, John has since stepped down and has continued on as an employee.

John’s expertise is in Sports Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation but he is additionally interested in the treatment of headaches/migraines and hand therapy.

Born and bred in Fremantle, John is a Fremantle Football Club tragic, loves getting out on the golf course and watching cricket.

Brenda graduated from Curtin University in 2008 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. She first started working at a private practice in Bunbury for 2 ½ years. Then, she moved down to Perth and worked in Myaree, until she joined Parkwood Physiotherapy Centre in 2013. She completed her post graduate studies at Curtin University studying Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2020.

Brenda has also completed her DMA clinical Pilates courses and has been using clinical Pilates as part of her treatment over the past 10 years. She has also done courses in dry needle acupuncture and found it very effective treatment to compliment other physiotherapy techniques.

Outside of work she is a sports fanatic. She loves playing and watching most sports. Her main sport is tennis. She plays at Cottesloe tennis club and have been lucky enough to play state league for several years. One of her greatest tennis achievements was captaining the Cottesloe womans state league team to victory in the 2016/17 season. She has also played competitive hockey for many years and enjoy surfing when she can or just running or swimming at the beach.

Trish graduated from Curtin University in 1988 as a physiotherapist. She has worked in a wide variety of settings including both public and private hospitals, private practice and in the community particularly with the older population in both WA and NSW.

Her specialties include hydrotherapy, exercise therapy and fall prevention.

Trish is also a research physiotherapist at Curtin University in the areas of strength and balance exercise for older people and fall prevention. She recently did a presentation at the National Grassroots Falls Conference.

Trish has been an elite middle distance runner and continues to keep fit with walking her kelpie and hiking. In her spare time, she loves reading and gardening.
